Lost events on iCal, but not on iPad

Not sure if this is iCal question. I loaded up my calendar with 3 mos worth of events. Now it synced to my iPad (1st gen) and disappeared off iCal on my MAC. How do I get it back? I have Snow Leopard OS.

Greetings,

Make sure you don't have auto-deletion turned on in iCal:

iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events...

Do you have a backup like TimeMachine? This would be the easiest way to restore deleted data. If you don't currently have a backup, you really should start. Read more here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553

If you don't have a backup, then there are a few steps you can try:

Troubleshooting:

1.) Backup all your data:

Backup your iPad: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html

Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966

2.) Reset the computer's sync services and then restart the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627

3.) Plug in the iPad and attempt a sync.

Hope that helps.
