Hi,
Can someone please tell me where I set my preferences so I can insert sentences in a cell and use the return key to insert a line within a cell rather than tabbing to the next cell?
I'm sure it's super simple but just can seem to find it. thanks!
Table Inspector, at the bottom.
Uncheck the box.
Or leave it checked, and use option-return to insert a carriage return in a cell.

If you don't want that behavior all of the time, you can just type Option+Return to create a new line in a Numbers or Pages table cell.
