cannot connect to istore

Since downloading latest Itunes 10.3.1.55 and installing IE8 I have been unable to access the iStore. I get no error messages - progress bar appears at halfway, stops then disappears. When I enter a search, same thing happens.


All other internet connections work fine. No other system changes made. Running on XP Pro SP3. Don't know whether iStore stopped working after installing iTunes 10.3.1.55 or IE 8.


iStore connects fine using an iMac on same network, but my iPod /iPhone aren't connected to this PC. er Mac.


I have been through all the firewall/connection/configeration help options and Itunes diagnostics says "Istore connection verified". Also, I can still access my account/purchases info - but nothing else. I have also re-downloaded and installed Itunes a couple of times now with no joy.


As mentioned, very frustrating as have disabled firewalls - no joy, allowed pop-ups in IE8/Google toolbar - still nothing, all proxies/interent settings fine and besides, haven't made any changes except latest iTunes and IE8.


PLEASE HELP - Any suggestions grateful received!
