My magic mouse frequently freezes up? Computer has to be re-started to re-establish connection?

Problem solved!!! I installed Mountain Lion just recently and re-connected my Magic Mouse. It has been working ever since without any disconnection problems. I wish Apple would have noted something about the incompatibility problem with Lion.

    Chris,

You should be able to turn the power off on the mouse and wait for the disconnect, then power on.

Alternatively, try the bluetooth icon in the menubar and choose disconnect, wait for the disconnect and then choose connect.

I had a freeze up this morning and that worked.

I've tried everything from disconnectly and reconnecting to using different brands of AA batteries. Nothing seems to work. After spending many months in frustration over to constantly restart my computer to reconnect the magic mouse I've given up and purchased a Logitech wireless mouse. It works flawlessly. I'm surprised that Apple hasn't come up with a fix for this problem since it has been reported many times by other users.
