iMac to MacBook Pro - Firewire Transfer?

I have a four-year old 24inch iMac and recently purchased a new MacBook Pro and would like to transfer files, etc. What type of firewire cable do I need to do this? Sorry, not familiar with the different pin connections and want to make sure I get the right one.

Hi G,

it depends which FW you have on each end. On the MBP side, it's FW800. It's probably the same on the iMac, so that would be FW800 to FW800.
