I want to secure a hand crank charger for my iPad2.

Question

I want to secure a hand crank charger for my iPad2.

I need to know if a standard cell phone charger would do the trick or if a special gizmo would be needed.

A standard one would probably work, if it has a USB port or 30-pin connector. Your iPad would probably say it wasn't charging, since it expects 4 times as much power as an iPhone, but it will trickle charge none the less. It will just take longer. Isn't there a lot of sunshine in Arizona? Have you considered a solar charger?

I do live in the land of the endless sun. I did order a solar charger from Amazon. Between the hand crank and the solar charger I hope to be prepared for the zombie apocalypse. LOL

Thanks for your help. I wonder how long I will have to crank to see an increase in battery percentage.
