Try doing a hard reboot of the iPhone

1. hold the power and home buttons down

2. you will see the "swipe to turn off" screen come up... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS

3. The screen will go black (turn off)... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS

4. A white Apple logo will appear on the screen, now you can release the buttons. Let the iPhone boot... should only take a couple minutes.

Dogg, it worked like a charm on my iPhoe 4 with OS6. I didn't see the part about "swipe to turn off" but just kept holding the power and home buttons anyway. Eventually (maybe after 10 seconds of holding the buttons) the white apple popped up. I let go as instructed and it took about 20 seconds for the phone to reboot. No data loss or other changes thatI can see yet. I literally just did this so if there is any long term negative results, I'll repost. THANKS!

Perform a minor factory reset/reboot. If you don't know how to do this, steps are as follows:

1. Hold down the top button and home button until screen turns black.

2. Let go when the Apple sign appears in the centre of your iPhone screen.

3. Try to unlock your phone.

If it still doesn't work, personally I would take it into a Genius bar in an Apple store near you. They can fix it there!!

Hope this helps x
