i have desktop computer & i want to share my monitor, mouse & keyboard (ps2) with mac mini. i am using Belkin KVM PS2 switch, & PS2 to USB adapter is connected to MAC MINI, but mouse & keyboard does not get detected. Monitor is working fine. What could be problem?

The monitor likely works because it is VGA, which is a standard supported by Mac OS X Snow Leopard. But the PS2 mouse and keyboard are not recongnized because there is no support for this protocol in Snow Leopard.
I have this "old" Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse working without problems, they are connected directly to a Mac Mini USB port.
Could be the problem with the Belkin KVM PS2 switch?
Have you try to connect the keyboard+mouse with PS2/USB adapter?

i changed the PS2 to USB adapter & it worked. that means my earlier PS 2 to USB adapter was faulty. thanks guys for your valuable inputs.
