How do i re-enable my Apple ID, I already tried resetting password

I have followed the support guide on how to deal with a disabled apple ID but all it said to do was reset password. I did this yet when i go to update apps, on my ipod touch, I still get a message that says Your Apple ID was disabled. What can I do?
