Quicken for Mac replacement - won't work with Lion

Quicken has sent an announcement to users confirming that Quicken for Mac 2005-2007 will not work with Lion, and encourage these users to begin using Quicken Essentials. Obviously this is not an option for many. I'm going to try out iBank 4 as a full replacement for Quicken for Mac, although I understand online bill pay is not supported.

Any other former Quicken for Mac users using iBank 4? Would love to hear your thoughts about it.

Just to add to the thread..

As Quicken will not be supporting the Mac Lion Update, I will require a replacement financial/banking software package for Quicken 2007.

I tried Quicken Essentials but it does not do what I need.

I am looking for the following features:

Check Printing

Memorized Transactions (QuickFill in Quicken)

Custom Reports

Memorized Reports

Scheduled Transactions

I do not need investment/budget/online banking features.

Sure would appreciate some advice!

Many thanks!

Yet another piece of software biting the dust if I upgrade to 10.7 with a 10.5.8 machine. And this one is way to important to play around with. I track all expenses for 2 accounts, investments, and loans.

Quicken Essentials does not track investments. I find it difficult to be cheerful about this 4.5 year transition Apple has undertaken when I purchased a machine, printers, etc. and am now learning the almost 4k investment into a Mac and software not only means loss of software packages but also a significant monetary lost.

My love a Mac stability continues but my being enamored with Apple has slowly soured. 😟😠

Please don't blame Apple. Intuit has no regard for us as Mac users. They did the same thing several years ago when OS 9 was ended. They would no longer upgrade Quicken for Mac. Several years later they came out with Quicken 2005 which would work with OS X. Now according to the email today they aren't sure they'd give us anything but Quicken Essentials which isn't even a partial program. Apple has no control over this and they do a great job of upgrading the OS at a reasonable price. Pressure Intuit through their message board or Twitter or whatever to bring us a full version of Quicken.

I have used Quicken products for many years. I am currently usingQuicken 2007 primarily to track investments. I have over 30 years ofinvestment data saved up. Most of the messages I have seen so far onthis website deal with banking functions. I don't use Quicken 2007 forbanking. In light of Lion not being compatible with Quicken 2007, isthere an alternative program that has similar capabilities for trackinginvestments (tracking transactions, dividends, capital gains, etc.) that can be used with Lion?
