No. If you left wifi on on and it is a 4G, try calling it with FaceTime and listening for the ringtone. Also, you might have other apps that you can make make a noise via notifications (e.g., Skype)

There is no GPS in a Touch. However, if you have a MobileMe account and configured it for Find My Phone then you could locate it if the device is turned on.

Find My iPod would only locate the device to the nearest WiFi router, Kappy, which would not be much assistance in locating an iPod lost within the house.

If it's in their house. They haven't found it in the house, so it could be elsewhere. At the very least it would tell them if it's in the house, don't you think? Then they would know they haven't searched everywhere. Just a thought, Dave. 🙂

My then 9 year old lost an iPod Nano in the house about a year ago. We gave up looking for it and hope that one day it will just turn up.

I think trying Facetime (if it is set up) to make some noise is probably your best bet.

Otherwise, you could call in an anonymous tip to the Feds that drugs are hidden in your house and have them search for you 😉

Unless it's connected to a WiFi access point other than their own, it either won't show up at all (unless someone found it and has connected it to WiFi elsewhere), or it would appear as if it is in the house even if it were in the yard or down the block. So again, I doubt that they're going to get much in the way of useful information.
