How to import apple loops in a different key?

So when I'm using Logic Pro in the right hand window I have my apple loops selected. I find the one I want, I listen to it, then I click in the right hand corner where it says "Play in:" and I change the key to match my song. Once I've done this it sounds great in the preview window, but the second I drag it over into my project it changes back into the original key of the loop.

How do I change the key of the loop for my track?

Logic Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Hi

You can change the project key using the Global Signature Track, by adding a key signature to the score, or by entering the info in the Signature List.

Note that Blue loops will only 'conform' to the first key sig., and NOT any changes further into the tune. Green (MIDI) loops will only conform to key signatures that are entered before the loops are added.
