HI. We are trying to decide whether to upgrade on our FCP studio imac to 10.6.7 or 10.6.8, in preparation for also buying FCPX.

We have seen that 10.6.8 has caused some woes for FCP studio 7 users. Trying to find out what the troubles might be to other end users. Thanks!

I've had varying issues on various systems. Some have had no problem with latest fcp, osx and prokit. Others have had issues with display, audio and capture but mostly because of prokit7. Rolled that back to 6 on those machines and all is hunky dory. I've since upgraded to Lion on developers prerelease and have had no issues with that as yet.

    Thank you Mr Pi !

How did you roll back the prokit7?

If you do a search on the Apple Support page for ProKit it comes up with this

From there choose the prokit you want to roll back to. It will overwrite which ever version you currently have automatically (in simple terms that's what it does). So just download, install, restart and you are 'rolled back'

    All the best
