Does iPad support Adobe Shockwave?

I recently downloaded an app from the british Library the supposedly allows one to browse their rare manuscripts but it appears to need Shockwave. Can I install the Shockwave player as a Safari plug-in on my iPad2?

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.2, 64 Ghz. 3G

You shouldn't be in Safari on your iPad, rather using the Treasures app you just downloaded.

There is no Shockwave for the iOS, though many Shockwave apps have versions available in the iTunes Store.

Edit: You may have taken an external link from within Treasures that opens in Safari as a standard web page, not tailored for mobile/iOS. In that case any flash/shockwave content will not be visible.
