I have few DVD video and like to edit video, so I am going to convert DVD video to .mov or .dv for Final Cut Pro.

My question is which movi format is bette for FCP: .dv or .mov?

Any difference in size/quality when we convert from DVD movie to .dv or .mov?

If you plan to edit the footage in FCP or FCE, use MPEG Streamclip and export to QuickTime DV/DVCPro. Do NOT use .dv; that's a muxed format that iMovie uses and it won't work properly in FCP. And just for future reference, the .mov file extension isn't a format. It merely indicates that the file contains audio and/or video streams and could be made from any number of QuickTime compatible codecs.
