ipod touch 4 wont connect to internet

hi people my ipod touch 4 will not work with either of my routers (dlink and linksys) but my two laptops work fine. when i go to saffari it says the server stopped responding. please help

That's okay. What is listed for an IP address? It's not in the 169.x.x.x range is it? If it isn't, try tapping the renew lease button at the bottom. This should force your iPod to pick up a new IP address via DHCP from your wireless router.


If that doesn't work, try resetting your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Also reset your iPod Touch by pressing both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Are you using WPA or WEP security with your router? If your network is password protected, are you absolutely certain you are entering in the proper password?


What make and model is your router? I see that you have a DLink and Linksys but what models? You may need to consult their documentation for more assistance.


Can the Touch still connect to other Wi-Fi networks okay?
