My iPad is Locked,What I have to do?

My kids try to open my iPad passcode many times and then my ipad locked and ask to connect with iTunes, after I connect with iTune its give the following message: iTunes could not connect to the iPad "iPad" because its locked with a passcode.You must open your passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
