Is there anyway to trade in my old ipad for a new generation?

In the US, Target Stores will give you a gift card for your original iPad you can use to then buy an iPad 2, which they sell.

Last time I checked, they were giving $190.00 for a clean iPad w/box, 16GB. They pay more for iPad with more features.

As well, many developers want them as test devices, so don't give it away 🙂

There are plenty of companies that purchase used equipment. I'm not personally aware of who would take it in trade. If you sell it outright, you'll get more money for it anyway....

Apple will give you 10% off the cost of a new one for recycling it.

I think you are being unrealistic in how much you are thinking you can get for the 1st Generation.

I sold my 12 month old iPad 1 for £150 less than I paid for it. I then bought a new iPad 2 for £20 less than the iPad 1 cost me, so I effectively got the latest model for £130 cash.

well when you trade in your car for a new one it's not excatly like you get it 1-1

they are out to make money like verybody else

Yeah, you can trade it in at PowerMax or one of the places mentioned above, but you can probably get way more for it if you just sell it and buy the new one. How much do you want for it?
