If you are trying to pair to your computer, then bluetooth on the iPad is aimed at devices such as headphones and keyboards. This document lists the types of bluetooth profiles that are supported on the iPad http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

This didn't really answer the question... Certain apps require a pairing code to have your desktop sync with the iPad from your desktop. We are looking for the code that is requested on the iPad to verify identities.

Can someone share where this code is located on the iPad?

Bluetooth cannot be used to pair an iPad to a computer. There will be no pairing code given anywhere in the iPad because of this fact.

Bluetooth in the iPad is used for pairing speakers, earphones and some keyboards.
