imac blue tooth keyboard double-letters

Has anybody figured out what to do about double-letters on the iMac Bluetooth keyboard? I think I have a isolated the space key as the culprit, and I do not get double letters if I type more slowly. I naturally type pretty fast though, and I didn't get the iMac so that I could work moreslowly (there...it did it..."moreslowly"... I did hit the space bar between those words, but it evidently did not respond. Big pain in the butt for someone that writes a lot, having to go back and editletters (...did it again) editletters (...hmmmm, did it again)....edit letters (...now it didn't do it).
