I downloaded a song on my itouch, but never updated it on my library. Finally i got a new itouch and when i updated it, my songs say purchased on itunes but are not in my library.... Any ideas how to get them without re buying them?

You music will only be where you put it. Did you transfer it from the ipod (where you bought it) to your computer?
If not then it is gone, unless you are in the U.S. Than you can use the newly released icloud beta version to get it back.
Open itunes store, click Purchased under Quick Links.
