Are livetype files compatible with FCPX?
No, you have to render a movie from LiveType. FCPX doesn't understand .ipr files.

Jul 9, 2011 3:22 PM in response to Nick Holmesby Roger Van Dyk,is there a way in FCPX to save create and save separate text files similar to the way it's done in Livetype.
I often have a text file then translate it into Spanish and then "save as" and both variants are saved in a specified location.
Is there a way to do something similar in FCPX?

Jul 9, 2011 11:21 PM in response to Nick Holmesby BenB,I think you're going to want to use Motion to create custom text templates. With Rigging and Publishing, you can then be able to switch between the two directly inside FCP X. But I'd definitly create my text in Motion instead of LiveType now. Duplicate the text layers, replace the English with Spanish, you can turn the layers on/off.
