Is it possible to import Livetype files into FCPX?
When i go to import: the previous Livetype files are grayed out and I can't select them
Are livetype files compatible with FCPX?
Is there a way to make them work?

No, you have to render a movie from LiveType. FCPX doesn't understand .ipr files.

Duplicate the finished project in FCPX and change the text to Spanish in the dupe.
I think you're going to want to use Motion to create custom text templates. With Rigging and Publishing, you can then be able to switch between the two directly inside FCP X. But I'd definitly create my text in Motion instead of LiveType now. Duplicate the text layers, replace the English with Spanish, you can turn the layers on/off.
