Is the Applecare call line closed on Sundays?

Im in like, a real ugent situation to get my macbook repaired, So I called my local major Apple retail store (Doncaster Shopping Town) and I pressed 2 to go to Technical Assistance etc etc, they said the line is closed? I called once at 10AM, then 11:30 AM, the 12:03 PM. All times said they're closed.

Are they closed on a Sunday?

Hi,

Extract from the above Link:

Telephone Support

To get technical support over the phone, please call 0844 209 0611*.

Lines are open Monday-Friday 08:00-19:45 and Saturday 10:00-17:45.

If your product is within its 90-day complimentary support period or covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, you will not have to pay for the support.

Otherwise, you may purchase per-incident support.

I believe they are closed, but more importantly with a 2008 Mac, do you still have an AppleCare plan?

Also, sounds like you've got physical problems versus software issues and IMHO I'd take your Mac to a repair shop ASAP.

No tech support can fix hardware issues on the phone other than setting up a repair order perhaps.

Why not create an appt at your closest Apple store's Genius Bar and let them look at it.

Go to Apple.com > Contact Us on the homepage. Click Start Here.go to visit Genius Bar.

Select state and store, click Reserve, follow the prompts ..

Good luck

PS: these cracks... you been doing push ups on your Mac! :)
