Poor iPad battery life
My iPad battery life has been very poor since doing a system restore. Does anyone know why this might be & is there any way to improve it?

some apps which use the location service you see this by a arrow is being displayed beside the bat %
suck battery fast make sure to double tab the home button and close those apps when you're not using them
There is some info/tips on 'extending' the battery life on this page www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html
Thanks. have done this but doesn't seem to help. Haven't changed the use of my iPad but it now discharges by 25% overnight & this has only been happening since system restore
sooner or later all batteries die
that you noticed a change since the system restore
could be coincidentally like if it you started noticing it
when a black cat crossed the road
at any rate I would try to close all apps when you don't use it
by double tabbing the home button and pressing icons until they wiggle
and click X on them to see if it makes any difference
It is only 1 year old - would not expect battery to die just yet as it does not get heavy use. I don't think it's just a coincidence as it has been such a dramatic change! I keep all apps closed when I'm not using them - doesn't help
double click Home Button. End the apps you do not need running, especially App Store.
"It is only 1 year old "
all electronic components have a life span as that lifespan varies from component to component
the lifespan is measured in a % fatality rate
so one component may die after a week and one may last 10years
componts which use chemestry like a batt the lifespan is even harder to measure so the fact that your ipad is only 1 year old and as such should not have a defect battery is just a statistic thing
