Reboot remote system to external drive

Have a remote mac mini server and need to reboot it to an external cloned hard drive so I can erase and reinstall the OS on the system drive. Can't hold down the option key as it's remote and managing via ARD. Can't find an ssh command to force reboot to external drive.

Hi

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but what's wrong with clicking on the Manage Menu and selecting Set Startup Disk? If the External Drive is connected and switched on you can select it. The rest is fairly obvious.

HTH?
