The 13" MBP is actually 13.3", if the cover was made for it then it will fit, if not, try it first (but it should)

so a 13.3" cover will fit? because i was going to buy one from e-bay but i wasn't sure it would fit...

No-one can be sure that it will fit, a 13" PC is a different size than a 13" MBP, so it depends on what the cover/case was made for.

Is it advertised as being for a Macbook Pro?

If your MacBook Pro is recent, it will be a Unibody. Unibody cases are all the same, if it's advertised to fit a Unibody, it will fit - if it isn't, it might not.
