dropped iphone 4 in water

I dropped my iphone 4 16gb in water. Notifications keep popping up saying "this accessory is not optimized by this iphone", the phone wont play music aloud or through the headphone jack unless plugged into my ihome speaker system, whenever I press the home button water comes out, and the phone will not reset or shut off. When I shut it off it turns back on almost immediately. I tried the rice trick and it didnt work 😟 I need to get it replaced but I dont know how much this will cost.

I have no warranty and ive had my phone for 10 months. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO REPLACE IT???????

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.3, 16gb

Take your iPhone to your nearest Apple store they will replace it. In most cases it will cost your $200.00.

Have you checked all 5 moisture sensors? Are they showing any pink at all?

If you've only had your iPhone for 10 months why do you no longer have a warranty?

Where are they located? Ive checked two: the connector at the bottom of the phone and the headphone one. what are the others? When I bought my iphone did I automatically have a warranty for a year??

No, you dropped the phone into water, they will not cover that under warranty.

The other 3 are internal but they will check them.

Enter your serial number there and it will tell you your service options. If you are still covered under warranty make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store, tell them your story, and see if they will give you a one time break. It they won't you can replace it for $199 USD.

A warranty is NOT insurance, it is coverage in the event of a manufacturers defect. Dropping your iPhone in water is not a manufacturers defect, it is a user one.

Is it possible that a new one could cost 700USD? Thats what I heard.

A few years ago I shattered my old iphone 3g and they couldnt fix it, so I had to buy a new one for the regular price. 400USD and I don't want to have to pay more than 200.

You had to pay the full price because you shattered the old one meaning they could not refurbish it. Since you've already broken one iPhone I doubt they are going to give you any breaks, take money and your iPhone with you and do an out-of-warranty replacement for $199.

Personally if I were you I would just buy a cheap phone off craigslist and skip the smartphones.

Maybe you had the luck to pay your iPhone with a credit card with wich company you have an insurance? If you do; pay the 200$ to have another iPhone; and ask your credit card company to pay the 200$; my father did the same because he weant in the pool with his iPhone in his pocket... He received a 200$ check by the mail!!
