What do I need to do to update my mac mini from 10.5.8 to 10.6?

As long as you have an intel mac mini (built after 2006) all you need is a retail copy of 10.6.


It is available for only $30. You can buy it online or even at best buy.

The original poster said they had a Mac mini, if the Mac mini is an old PowerPC based model then it cannot run Mac OS X 10.6. Both 'late' and 'early' 2006 models of the Mac mini had Intel processors and hence should be able to run Mac OS X 10.6.


All MacBooks have used Intel processors and hence all can run Mac OS X 10.6. No PowerBooks or iBooks can run Mac OS X 10.6.
