How to transfer PDFs from iPhone to computer

I have a number (many) PDF documents that I use iBooks to open and read. Those PDFs are now in iBooks and I would like to access them on my PC. There must be some easy way to transfer these PDFs from the iPhone to my PC. Blackberry desktop software makes it very easy to transfer one's files to and from computers to smartphones.

iPhone 4, Windows 7

As MikeyC indicated emailing it the easiest way to get a PDF off your iPhone and onto your computer.

Open the PDF on your phone, tap the Forward button a the top of the screen (Square with an arrow pointing up out of it) Tap Email, enter your email address on the email that pops up with the PDF attached and send.

Open your email program on your PC, open the email and download the attachment.

Repeat for each one.

grochef I have the same problem as you and SarahCruz.

Please tell me which 3rd Party App did you use? And what rating would you give the App *'s out of 5?

Your veiws would be much appreciated.

I addition I lot of documents in Docs2Go and Evernote Apps on iPhone and iPad. Yes it ought to be possbile to email these 100'sof documents and download on my Windows PC as many here would suggest. Is that the state of art with these smartphones?

how did these .PDF files get on your phone? were they purchased in the iBooks Store? Were they downloaded then added to your iBooks App? were they already on your computer and you synced them?

if they were downloaded off the store, the above response (though seemed condescending) should be correct. They are synced in your iTunes library on your computer, along with your music. so where ever your music is, so is your pdf filse (supposed to be)

if we can get more information, it would help

I am having this same problem. It's a large number of pdfs, mostly downloaded from email or internet, and I want to have them available on both my iphone 4 and my iPad mini. I thought this was the whole idea of iCloud, but I can't figure out how to get both devices to sync to the cloud the way I expect them to.

I'm getting pretty frustrated with the software design of these Apple apps. It seems that a user interface that had a "sync to cloud" button right in the library would be easy enough to implement. Then I could sync my other device to the cloud as well and have all the same info. Being required to connect to iTunes defeats the whole purpose in my mind. And using third party apps, or emailing just seems clunky.

Im having this issue too.

However, my iPhone 4 has a cracked and broken screen so I cant simply email all my PDFs to myself. I need a way to put them on my new iPhone 5s. I could have done a restore but I didn't want all the bugs from my 4 ending up on my new iPhone 5s...

I cant believe that apple doesn't have a way to transfer files from iPhone to PC.

Kudos/Thx go to jrn12 for the workaround reference to DiskAID which is now called iMazing!

Yes, same for me - over the past couple years I downloaded various PDF's and other documents onto my phone via email attachments, internet etc. Now I just got another computer and want to be able to sync the computer to my itunes library. But because iTunes doesn't have the pdf's, I can't sync those documents, unless I manually transfer them to iTunes, and that's not possible unless you do it one by one by mail, or go and get some third party software to do it. Very stupid. Almost as stupid as getting rid of the headphone jack.

Seems strange to think that Apple would provide an application for a Windows based OS. Seems like a job for Microsoft. As nice as it would be to have this work so simple, we cannot blame Apple for Microsoft not making this simple. On a Mac you can plug an Android in and work simply just as you would an iPhone. This is because of Apples OS not the Android itself. So come on Microsoft. Catch up and make this cross compatible already.
