my webcam is not working

My built-in webcam is not working. I have a new Macbook Air. I used Photobooth to take a video afterwhich it stopped working.

Mine is doing the same thing...

I went to Apple, they tried all fixes, Reboot, Reset, Repair Disk... etc. I'm bring it back to Apple when a back order part comes in (Display Module). Now it may be a loose wire or something, but the Module was order just incase... and most likely is the problem, will see.

At least i'm still using my Air Book until the repair/part comes in, and hopefully it will only take one day to repair. Another reason to purchase the extended warranty, mine is still covered under the new warranty, but i will buy the extended service warranty when the other expires.

I had the same problem, went to the Apple support pages, which suggested trying a different user account in an attempt to diagnose the problem.

So I created a new user account, logged into that account, and iSight, Facetime, and Photo Booth all worked?!?!

Logged out, logged back into my regualr admin account, and now the camera is working just fine. Must have been some process running that had the camera occupied in my admin account. Whatever, it worked.
