locked desktop
When I attempt to move a file or icon on my desktop, I am told that I cannot because the desktop is locked. How did I lock it and how can I unlock it? Thanks

Click on it, choose Get Info from the File menu, give yourself Read & Write access, and uncheck the Locked checkbox.
