iSync crashes while syncing with Nokia 5800

I've been using iSync with my Nokia 5800 and an official Nokia plugin from their website for almost a year now, and it always worked fine until a few months ago. I'm not sure the problem occurred directly after updating from Leopard to Snow Leopard or some weeks later.

There are the following symptoms: iSync starts as usually, I click on the device sync button, my Nokia 5800 is recognised, but when it comes to the status "Apply Changes..." ("Änderungen verarbeiten..." in German, I don't know the exact translation), the progress bar stands still and the whole system is slowed down so that I can only push the power button and boot again.

I tried to reinstall the Nokia iSync Plugin, but it didn't change anything. The Nokia support says (of course) that it's not their fault but an iSync bug. Any idea for a solution? Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall iSync?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Have you tried any basic troubleshooting such as resetting SyncServices ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1627 ), resetting the Sync History in iSync, or resetting the device in iSync?

It's more likely to be some corruption that has occurred in one or more of your contacts or calendars.

Try syncing only contacts and only calendars to see which one causes the problem.

Then export the offending data, delete it and re-import it to fix any corruption.
