Q: Print headers or footers on slide handouts?

Is there a way in Keynote 09 to print headers or footers on the handouts of slides?

MacBook Pro; MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.7), iPhone 4 (Verizon); iPad

Feature is not available in Keynote. You can go to Keynote Menu>Provide Keynote Feedback and let Apple know your wishes.

 

Probably the easiest way for you to get the results you seek now is to go to Print and set everything how you want. Then the PDF drop down menu and save as a .pdf. Open a Pages document and add the header or footer and then import the .pdf pages into Pages and print.

    I assume you are saying that you export the slides as images and print them???

     

    As far as I know there is no automatic mode for this within Keynote itself. However any graphics program should be able to add the needed text before you print them off.

    Actually, I am printing the slides, 6 to a page, to serve as handouts for my talk. I want to put my name, talk title,and page numbers on the pages.

     

    I guess I could print to PDF and add the header and footer later, but that is a very complicated work around.

     

    In PowerPoint it is possible to add headers and footers to the printed handouts.
