Is the iTunes store down?

From the iTunes menu bar click Store / View My Account / Edit Payment Information.

Make sure your billing information is correct including the expiration date and Security code then click Done.

Now try purchasing again.

If that didn't help, try resetting your Apple ID password > Apple - My Apple ID

Does anyone know when iTunes will be up and running again? I'm from Louisiana and I just noticed it was down... I would like to do an update on my phone.

Not working in Washington DC either, the one time when I am really counting on an app update. Darn it! I thought Steve Jobs was just going on and on about Apple's new robust data centers. Sometimes I look back fondly to the days when applications lived on m hard drive.

Down since 4:35 PM EST, in Florida. Usually, Apple fixes this iTunes Store problem quickly. It's taking a while longer today (and there is no way of finding out when it'll be up).

Down in New York too. its been more than an hour.

I'm in Michigan on vacation and its down here too. Can't download anything from my iPhone or iPad or Macbook Pro.

Down for as well, been down for a few hours now.

Does it really matter where (geographically) we are located? Isn't "Apple" fairly global when it has a problem?

If not, Oregon is down as well.
