No.. it's not... and worse, it is not Intel compatible, not even with Rosetta! It simply doesn't run on an Intel Mac... when I say it doesn't run, I mean the Admin tool doesn't run, as covered by this useless statement:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303128

Annoying to date... but with dozens and dozens of XServes we live on ARD... this week they discontinued the 15" PowerBook G4, of course offering us the MacBook Pro in it's place... The MacBook Pro can not run ARD Admin...

I've just finished another round of XServe purchases, now I need to hire more Sys Admins... and guess what.. there's no point me making this purchase until Apple fixes this... which I would point out their statement linked to above make NO indication that they are even working on fixing it.

Apple, you need to fix this... and fix it QUICKLY!!! I can't hire more sys-admins because they can't admin any of our sys because the laptop you will sell me for them doesn't run the Admin software. This isn't a minor oversight, it's a MAJOR problem!

Guess I should suspend future XServe purchases until it is fixed.

You are right... Apple needs to provide some sort of Admin solution quickly! I can't believe that since the announcement regarding the switch to Intel, Apple has not been able to come up with a version of the Admin tool that works on this new platform. Even a interim solution would be helpful.

Who could we bug at Apple to let them know that there are a lot of us that want this now?
