Facebook and Twitter links in Mail

Hello everyone,

I am trying to add picture links to Facebook and Twitter to our email signatures, but can't seem to find a way to do it on the Mac Mail program.

I am currently running 10.4.11 and Mail 2.1.3 (I know it's old but they're work computers).

Is it true that this is impossible? I am able to see the images and click the links if I get an email from someone else, but can't put them in mine.

I don't need the links to automatically make the reader Like or Follow us, just a link to the page is enough (although if that is possible I would like it).

If anyone can offer any help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'm having trouble creating the HTML code (something I know nothing about). I've been trying to figure it out online but I can't seem to find anything...

I still can't get it to work. I know the code was correct because I tested it, but when I followed those steps it just came up as the code. I also saw online that you can go to Edit > Add Link in a new message, and then paste it into the signature, but that isn't working either.

Is it definitely possible on this OS? I know it's somewhat old, so could it just not be possible?

I'm not on 10.4 at the moment, but yes, I did test the long method on 10.4.11 & it worked, not sure where you're going wrong.

Can you post your .html? does it open & display in Safari OK?

I have no experience in coding, but I just found one online and substituted my own information in. I tested it on this site, which I found on Google and it seemed to work fine.

I just tried it again (the method where you save the code as a Web Archive and then replace it) and the signature simply came up as the code, instead of the picture. I also only tried the Facebook button, so I know the problem isn't because I'm trying two at a time.

Whew, I'm geeting dizzy on this, I think it was easier last time I did it, but here's a start with a direct download link for a zip containing the webarchive & html...

PS. The graphic won't show in Preferences>Signatures, but will once you use it in a new mail or reply.

Thanks a ton for all your help! It's appreciated.

What my boss is looking for is specifically the photo links (he wants people to be able to click on the F or T and be linked right to the pages). I can't believe this is so difficult!
