In Mail, the system says the Outbox will appear while it is trying to send an email. I've had several emails hang in the Outbox, but the Outbox does not appear anywhere, as the Help says it would. What do I do to see it? Thank you

got a suggestion open a new message and write down anything doesn't matter in the TO section right down something but DON'T USE @ SIGN AT ALL then send it it will go to the outbox and impossible to send it and then the outbox should be visible
Thanks for the suggestion, but immediately the system says it can't be sent - probably because the system knows it's not an email address. I guess I'd have to wait again until an email hangs in the Outbox. But the last one I sent that hung in the Outbox hung for about 3 minutes. I looked EVERYWHERE and no "Outbox" appeared anyway. Was also unable to "Go To" (under Mailbox) the Outbox - it was unhighlighted.
ok try this attach a huge file that would take a long time to be sent and send it to yourself again while sending the outbox will show up you can quickly click on it unless it doesn't send it at all
Another email is hanging in my Outbox. No folder named Outbox appears. Anywhere.
In the Finder, open Home/Library/Mail/Mailboxes and see if there is an Outbox.mbox folder in that location?
Btw, how do you know it is hanging if you can't see the folder?
