How do I change my Wi-Fi password?
Normally you would change it in the router that creates the wireless network. Use WPA2, if possible.
The password is changed in your router, then you put a matching password into your kindle/mac/anyotherdevicethatneedsanetworkconnection.

I wish I knew the answer to that question:( I figured it was Charter Communications because that is my IP but they said it's not through them so they figured it was through Apple. Is there some way I can find this out on my Mac?
Once more, the password you are looking for is set by your router, that is the only place you can change it.
What is the make/model of your router (not the name of your ISP)
As I and Csound have said the password is changed in your router's security configuration.
As far as I know I do not have a "router". I have a modem from Charter and the name on it is Webstar. As you can see, I need help! LOL

Then ask Charter how to change the password, but I suspect what you are using is the modem's password for your account.
Get a router
Then the modem is most likely also a router. Go to the Webstar website and see if you can find a user manual for the model you have. You can also contact Charter, again, to ask how to alter security settings in the modem/router you have.
How does the modem connect into your network? Does an Ethernet cable run from the modem to either your computer or another device? If not then you are probably using a modem/router that only provides wireless.
I just went to Charter's website, they have complete listings (inc setup instructions) on all their equipment, go there, find yours, read the instructions.
If you want help stop being secretive and tell us the manufacturer and model number of your modem (it will be written on it)

I wasn't trying to be secretive! I have been told that is not my Router.
Please be patient with me.
This item is a modem, it does not have wireless according to the manual which I have linked here, it is also rather old (as the requirements for a pentium 133 and 32mb of Ram suggest)
If this is all you have you can not connect your kindle (or anything else) to it wirelessly
Get a router.

You need their tech support more than their router, you can buy a router (and Apple make excellent examples) but will need to get it connected so: ask Charter for tech assistance with connecting a router and (if they will allow it) buy your own router.
How do I change the Wi-Fi password on my Mac? It is set with 46 numbers and letters. Not sure if it came from the compant this way or not. I bought a Kindle and need to put in the wifi password but it won't accept it the way it is.
