This worked for me! Thankyou. I tried to open an app from the store and it refused to open and the app store refused password... On El Capitano on an old iMac. Annoying. So thanks to those who do the support community thing!

How do we restart OS X ?

I have a MacBook Pro OS X El Capitan and since yesterday I can't download any apps from the App Store because of the verification problem... I have deleted the file NetworkInterfaces.plist as asked but I don't know how to restart my computer. And what does this action consist of ? (Does it delete everything on my Mac, so I have to save everything before ?)

Follow the instructions given here in response to spydie2then go to the apple symbol top left and select Restart😉

My iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) use LAN to connect to Time Capsule in the past three years. Today, The LAN port is dead. Even I plug the internet connection directly into iMac, there is no network. So i change to use WiFi, now i can connect to internet. But Mac App Store have problem. This solution is really help me.
