Photo information window: How do I disable it?

Could some body please tell me how to disable the black window with photo information from automatically appearing over the photo whenever the cursor passes over the image? It's driving me crazy.

It's a Metadata Overlay -- one of seven, all fully customizable.

Unless you've updated to Aperture 3.1.3 and are still using the default keyboard command set. The default in 3.1.3 is now control-T.
