Jul 28, 2011 9:37 AM in response to BenBby henkrek,At first I thought FCS was slowing down as if the cue of jobs was getting too long an then after a while it crashed / became unresponsive.
But now I think this was a coincidence. I managed to speed up many of the processes by creating some content base devices and by reducing the amount of files in some devices / directories.
Some directories contained more than 25000 files. If you try to ingest another 50 files in the same directory, the system will freeze because a Mac is incredibly slow when it has to cope with that many files in a directory.
So now it seems to be harmless, but out of curiosity: why does it happen?
