I heard that you can make your laptop (or phone) battery too dependent on the charger if you leave it plugged in at full charge for extended periods of time. Is this true?

No. It's not good for old nickel cadmium batteries, but as long as you're not always using the machine plugged in, it's not a problem to leave it plugged in on full charge.
But MB and MBPs don't use nickel cadmium batteries. They use Li-ion/poly batteries that have no "memory effect." Let's make that clear. 🙂
Yes, I meant that those old batteries have the problem but laptop batteries do no. But you're right that I didn't make that very clear! 🙂
