I like the title in iMovie with the date/time read from the clip. Is there a way to do that in FCPX or Motion 5. It would be much faster then manually typing it in each time, I used it a lot in iMovie. I tried looking, but unable to find anything yet. Thanks

    Try the Time Date Generator.

Hey, yeah I tried to fool with that, but you still have to enter the date and time manually each time. I do video journal projects and like to add dates each different days so it would be easier to use an auto system. I am looking around maybe someone will make a plugin or something.

Also in the latest Motion 5, you may not add a Date/Time like in iMovie.

FCPX 10.1 has this function attached, but the parameters you may set youself are very poor.

If you send this Date/Time title to Motion 5, the adaption of clips date and time get's lost.

It is always shown only in US format:

    hh:mm (in am/pm system)

    Mmm, dd. yyyy

In Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein I rather prefer

    hh:mm:ss (in 24 hrs format)

    dd. Mmm yyyy

But you may not change the behaviour

This function is implemented very poor in FCPX.
