I understand you can drag the app to the trash..but that doesnt fully remove all its components into the trash. How do i fully remove it???

Some apps leave other files behind and some are all self contained in the Applications folder. If there are files outside the Applications folder than the app should of come with an uninstaller or on the Software Vendor's Website in which they may have instructions on how to uninstall it. If you're talking about a programming app or an app that makes files like i.e. the Documents folder or the VIdeos folder than those are meant to be there because they have your personal data in them. If you don't mind me asking what app(s) are you having trouble removing?

Good Luck; Hope this Helps -

thanks, that does help. I downloaded the AIM app. Just to mess around i deleted it and reinstalled it. (Just got a mac for the first time so im just trying to figure everything out). To remove it from my computer i put the AIM app itself in the trash, along with the installer icon and the downloader icon. I didnt know by putting them all in the trash would add all the space back to my computer that i lost by installing it. Some websites said that there are apps that remove apps for you, but that sounded sketchy to me. But bein new to mac, im not sure if that actualy works haha

Yes most of those types of apps are very sketchy and again apps that put files everywhere usually have uninstallers such as Adobe Products; I've gotten many trials from them and they put software EVERYWHERE!!!! It isn't spam but again something liek that comes with an uninstaller that cleans it all up. If you see something like that again just delelte any file you KNOW belongs to that specific app. -
