I've already reinstalled my itunes and it still wont read my iphone.

iPhone 4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

An iPhone 4... needs iTunes 10 3 x... Unfortunately iTunes 10 will Not Run on OS 10.4.x

You will need to buy the OS Upgrade to either Leopard or Snow Leopard...
