1000fps?2000fps? what is this?

Can someone explain to me this please?


While I was trying to learn more about how to super slow motion in FCP 7, I was faced with people talking about

shot 1000fps / 2000fps ? what does that mean?Am I stupid or what? Ok,I just work with video production since 2010 but cameras

shooting 1000fps/2000fps?


there is two videos what I am talking about.


The title say: 7D 1000fps , but in the description 720p 60fps

Some of the DSLRs, Canon I think, can shoot short bursts of 1kfps.

You might be thinking of Casio, none of the Canons (to my knowledge) shoot 1000fps - fun toy @ $400
