Hi. Is your external monitor operating as "Extended Desktop or Mirrored mode"?

Hi. If you have it set to mirrored mode with an external connected, there will be no Arrangement tab.

There will be no Arrangement tab without an external connected and running in Extended Desktop mode.

Recently updated my MacBook (MB) (late 2009) OS from SL to Lion.  With SL was able to connect to a projector no problem using the Optoma WPS-2.  This device plugs into the projector's VGA port and uses wifi connection to communicate with the MB.   Now what gets projected is simply the MB cursor on a black screen, and a trail of the cursor as it moves around the MB screen.  Others have suggested going to the arrangement tab, to change to extended or mirror display - but no such luck.

    This is what I get.

Any suggestions?  Very frustrated and probably going to downgrade to SL.  But that seems like such a hassle as well.

    Thanks in advance
