I keep seeing all of these posts of people sayng their printer stopped working when they updated their systems to 10.6.8. I just got my macbook pro and I'm in need of a printer. Can anyone please tell me which printers are compatible with 10.6.8? Or share the printer you use that still works after you updated your system?

I have used both a Canon PIXMA MP250 and a Canon PIXMA MX320 on my Mac without encountering any issues.
Most printers should be working fine after the Mac OS X 10.6.8 update, as it was only a set of certain printers (Konica Minolta and Xerox come to mind) that had stopped working. There's really no need to worry.

.. depends how you are defining "best" printer. I use an HP 7210 and a C410 All in one (AIO). I like the AIO especially since it's wireless and I can print to it from my iPad and iPhone.
I love my bottom of the line Epson 3-in-1 NX 100,
for about $60 😁
EDIT:Of course you need wireless but you can pick one up nearly as cheap.
For my needs the print quality is terrific.
