I was updating my phone earlier when i got error 1602, which stopped the update and my phone got stuck in recovery mode.
I tryed plugging it into iTunes and it isn't recognized.
I have tried everything in the support for both the error and getting the phone recognized, with no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

If your IPHONE is STUCK IN RECOVERY MODE, DO THIS: (ON Screen USB pointing to a CD with a Music Note).
1. Make sure your ITUNES is UP TO DATE, if not re-download itunes.
2. after re-installing ITUNES, plug your iphone via USB into your computer. ITUNES will automatically pick it up and a pop up box will probally say that your IPHONE is in recovery mode would you like to restore?
3. Click the restore tab.
Note - If ITUNES if out of date, this will not work.
Note - Do not do this over WIFI
Note - Do not interrupt the restore
Note - If you did not make a previous back up, your IPHONE will restore back to the factroy settings.
All this happened to me, fortunately I made a back up. I hope this helps.
Whatever you do to restore your iPhone, I would advise you not to use Mobile-Ease to resolve it because I was charged £ 5.90 P&P plus £ 10 diagnose fee plus £ 20 alleged fix cost. When the iPhone 4 was returned to me, it displayed the same results as when I posted the phone off to them. To further clarify the company, their office/repair place is in Chester, England. Definitely NOT recommended. In the end I used an IT Professional colleague of mine to get the iPhone restored to Apple condition.
I know this post does not directly address your problem but as you may wish to get a third party company to resolve the issue, through bitter experience, DO NOT USE MOBILE-EASE of Chester.
