Bluetooth question

Ok, here's the issue. I bought a Kenwood DDX418 head unit for my car and had the technicians install everything and setup bluetooth. Running into a snag which seems to be solely with Apple alone. The iPhone will set up just fine with bluetooth, but it won't ring through the vehicle, answer through the vehicle or anything. It calls through the vehicle and head unit just fine... well, sometimes.. and that's about it. The reason I am saying this is because one of the technicians setup his Droid phone with my Kenwood head unit and it worked perfectly. The issue I am having is that the phone connects to the head unit just fine, but the phone rings and the speakers will not ring at all. When the dude set up his Droid, the system inside the car rang perfectly and the guy on the other end of the line was able to hear him perfectly. When we tried the iPhone... no dice. The other guy couldn't hear us, and we couldn't hear him at all. The phone says that it is connected and transmitting through the Kenwood, but it is not working. Seems to only be an issue with the iPhone 4 for verizon which is what I have. Can anyone tell me how to get bluetooth to work?

iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.6 (Verizon)

Yes, I went to the Kenwood site. It says it is compatible. However, not everyone who owns a Kenwood is using an iPhone, so I came to the forum to see if anyone else is having this issue or a similar one. I even googled the issue and cannot find an answer. Also, if Kenwood has a forum, I didn't want to register at yet another website to receive some help or tips. I went down and messed with the bluetooth and it is all jacked up. I was able to make and receive a phone call with no problems... as long as the radio wasn't on. When the radio was on, the phone rings, but not through the receiver in the car... at least with the iPhone. When the technician connected his Droid, the radio cut out and the call came through. I don't know why the iPhone is giving me so much trouble in this area. I apologize if I annoyed you with my question to the Apple community about an Apple product. But, being that Google didn't give me any results and the Kenwood website didn't as well, I figured I would try here.

Oh, you didn't annoy me at all. If I came off that way I am sorry. I was trying to get you to the place where I thought your question could be answered the fastest. I figured the Kenwood site would have far more information about the use of their product with various phone manufacturers that you could get to much quicker, rather than wait around for another user on this site with a similar device.

Ok, here is an update. Drum roll please... it is an Apple issue and they are aware of it. Apple told me that they are working on the issue and that I am not the only one having this problem So, now that I know it is not my phone or the Kenwood, I am relieved. Now all I need to do is wait it out and hope that the next update will contain the fix.
